How to Obtain proof of Course Completion
Course completion information and student certification are now done electronically with the Ministry of Transportation and recorded on the student’s “Driver Licence History”.
Student records for course completion are electronically updated with the Ministry approximately two weeks after the final in-vehicle or classroom session, whichever is latest, provided that all course requirements have been met. This will allow for earlier road test booking prior to the mandatory twelve months current waiting period. Paper Certificates are no longer issued by the Ministry.
Students who require Proof of Course Completion for possible insurance savings are now required to obtain their Driver Licence History (DLH). This can be done by request through the Ministry’s Licensing Administration Office at: 416-235-2999 or 1-800-387-3445.
or at any Drivers and Vehicles Issuing Office handling licence plates and renewals.
The Ministry charges a fee of $12.00 for this document.
It is recommended that requests for a DLH be made only after obtaining a G2 Licence and at least two weeks after course completion The Ministry of Transportation states that the DLH search can only be requested by the driver licence holder, since it contains personal information
Road Test Booking can be done by telephone: 1-888-570-6110 or www.drivetest.ca
